Woodcote Swimming Club was established nearly twenty years ago for the benefit of children living in Woodcote and the surrounding villages.
We teach children from beginners to advanced swimmers in small friendly groups, enabling us to teach each child individually.
The lessons run during the school year with regular assessments for awards. Our children work towards ASA awards, that cover the following skills:
- Stroke Technique
- Distance
- Personal Survival
- Diving
- Speed
The children also learn skills in Life Saving and Water Polo.
Many of our past members have returned to us as Poolside helpers and have then subsequently trained to become Swimming Teachers.
Woodcote Swimming Club is affiliated to the ASA. All our teachers are ASA qualified and hold the current National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches.
The Club ensures that all staff hold a CRB certificate.
